Harsil Village Resort is small on purpose: timber cottages and heritage rooms in a working apple orchard, food cooked on site, and the valley right outside the door.
The family lives here, so advice on roads, permits and weather comes first-hand. Harsil is often spelt Harshil. It is the same village, 25 km below Gangotri Dham, about an hour by road.
Per night, direct from us. Breakfast is included in both, and we hold an early one for guests leaving for Gangotri.

Prince looks after every booking at Harsil Village Resort himself. Ask him about the road, permits for Gartang Gali, the best room for your dates or an early breakfast before Gangotri. You get a straight answer and the direct rate, the same day.
Heating and hot water are not a given this high up. They are here, and so is the power to run them when the valley supply drops.
The last comfortable bed before the Dham.
A heater in the room from the first cold night.
Not a set hour in the morning.
Garhwali food, veg and Jain meals with notice.
Apple trees, mountains or the river from every room.
Level ground, rooms that take an extra bed.
Permits, drivers and timings, same day.
Jio and BSNL work in the village too.
Harsil is more than a night halt on the way to the Dham. Guests who stay two nights rarely regret it.
Wonderful resort with all the necessary amenities. The location is just perfect, at the entry point. All the time natural sounds are heard like flowing water, birds chirping etc.
Kunja SinghGuestThis resort is a paradise for those who want to reconnect with nature. The rooms are beautifully designed to reflect the local charm while offering all modern amenities.
Vivek MishraGuestThe staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable.

April to June is Char Dham season and the busiest. September and October are the best of it: rain gone, peaks out, apple harvest on. July and August are green and quiet but rain can close the road. November to March brings snow and real cold, so call first.
By road up the Bhagirathi through Uttarkashi (73 km, 2 to 3 hrs). The nearest airport is Jolly Grant, Dehradun (about 220 km) and the nearest railheads are Rishikesh and Haridwar. Break the journey at Uttarkashi and arrive in daylight.
Conditions on the Gangotri road change with the weather and season. Message Prince the day before you travel and he will tell you what today actually looks like.

Share your dates and Prince will confirm availability and the direct rate the same day.
